About Me

From Emergency Services to Mortgages – Same Steady Approach

I’ve spent 27 years in EMS and nearly 20 years as a firefighter with St. Albert Fire, working as both a paramedic and firefighter. You learn a few things when you’ve spent that much time responding to emergencies:

How to stay calm when everyone else is panicking
How to explain complicated situations clearly
How to make good decisions under pressure
How to pay attention to details (they matter)
How to be someone people can trust in critical moments

Those same skills translate directly to helping people with their mortgages.

Why I Do This

After nearly three decades in emergency services, I wanted to apply those skills in a different way. Buying a home, refinancing, dealing with renewals—these are stressful financial decisions for most people. Banks don’t make it easier. They make it more confusing.
I realized I could use everything I learned as a paramedic and firefighter to help people navigate one of the biggest financial decisions they’ll make—without the pressure, without the confusion, just clear advice they can trust.

My Approach

I’m not the loud guy at networking events.
I’m not going to pressure you into anything.
I’m not going to use mortgage jargon to sound smart.

What I will do:

  • Listen to what you actually need
  • Explain your options in plain language
  • Give you honest recommendations (even if it’s not what you want to hear)
  • Walk you through every step
  • Return your calls and texts
  • Get it done right

Working With Dominion Lending Centres

I’m a mortgage associate with DLC—Canada’s largest mortgage company. We funded over $83 billion in mortgages in 2024.
What that means for you:
I have access to hundreds of lenders (including all the major banks)
I can shop your mortgage across the entire market
I’m not tied to one bank’s products
I work for you, not for a lender

What My Clients Appreciate

I’ve worked with hundreds of clients through purchases, refinances, and renewals. What they tell me they value most:

  • I show up when I say I will
  • I do what I say I’m going to do
  • I explain things clearly without the jargon
  • I don’t waste their time
  • I stay calm when things get complicated
  • I give honest advice, even when it’s not what they expected to hear

If that sounds like the kind of mortgage associate you’re looking for, let’s talk.

Outside of Work

I have two kids who keep me humble and grounded. I train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (purple belt) and play drums with both the St. Albert Fire Pipes and Drums band and the RCMP K Division Pipes and Drums Band.
I’m probably the least “salesy” mortgage associate you’ll ever meet.
And that’s exactly why some people prefer working with me.
